The Company
The idea for the company has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.
Having my father as my mentor in the food business for the past 18 years has given
me a world of experience, a sense of uniqueness and a source of undying passion for
things I believe in.
As the sandwich boom arrived in Canada, I realized that the success from the
big sandwich chains in the United States was quickly coming to Canada, without ever changing the dynamics, food or needs of the Canadian Market.
As this saturation of stores continued across the country,
even the local independents sandwich restaurants joined the craze, once again without changing
to what the market really desires, instead simply copying the U.S. trend.
Growing up Canadian, in a European family, memories of sharing and eating as a family,
interacting are memories very dear to me. I was taught at a very earlier age that
morals and valueswere very important as a way of life. Stories of my grandfather
working hard labor every day and going to work with the same brown paper lunch bag, which my grandmother made with love and throughtfulness became the birth of Sac-Wich Restaurants.
